It has been 15 years since the last time Nils and Sandra visited Northern Norway and the midnight sun. This year they finally got the chance to go north again. This time with their two kids.
Fifteen years ago, Nils and Sandra explored the wild beauty of Northern Norway as a young couple. This summer, they’ve returned – but this time with their children, Anna and Lukas, ready to experience the magic of the midnight sun as a family.
Flying directly from Zurich, Switzerland, the journey to adventure couldn’t have been easier. With Evenes Airport offering direct connections from Central Europe, they landed ahead of schedule on a Monday afternoon.

Their Arctic Vanlife camper was waiting – fully prepped and parked just minutes from the terminal. Within no time, they were on the road again, chasing memories and making new ones.
This time, their route takes them through the spectacular archipelagos of Vesterålen and Lofoten – where dramatic peaks meet polar beaches, and every turn offers a postcard view.
With the kids excited and the van stocked, the family is set for unforgettable moments under the northern sun that never sets.
Arctic Vanlife offers travelers a seamless way to start their journey: modern campers, direct airport pickup, and local knowledge that helps you hit the road without delay. Whether it’s your first time in Norway or a long-awaited return – we’ve got your van waiting.
